About The Position

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a Specialty Coder I to join its team. This is a remote position requiring residency in Kentucky or Indiana. With supervision, the Specialty Coder I codes diagnoses and procedures for outpatient physician charges at the clinic level, including Evaluation and Management levels, in-office procedures, procedures and surgeries in multiple settings, and other clinic/outpatient coding as assigned. The role includes thoroughly reviewing medical records to facilitate the collection of patient care information and coding diagnoses and CPT for providers’ office and surgical services.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Coding certification: CPC or CCS-P.
• One year of experience in specialty/surgical coding.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of professional coding experience.
