About The Position

Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking an Entegris Specialty Coatings Research and Development Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. In this role, you will be supporting the R&D team of the ESC business unit, including the Innovation, Ceramics and Coatings groups, for developing next generation products and improving processes and metrology systems.

Requirements

  • Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering involved in active research
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.

Responsibilities

  • Materials analysis and test part characterization for next generation products
  • Developing and improving the process and metrology data collection for onsite grinding & surface finishing projects.
  • Analysis and documentation of the collected data during grinding & surface finishing process development.
  • Organizing and updating the documents which are already in place, and data collection and documentation support.
  • Support ceramic material tracking and documentation related to grinding and surface finishing processes.
  • Provide support grinding & surface finishing process improvement for next gen products
  • Exploration of new materials for field applications
  • Conduct comprehensive materials and test part analysis
  • Have metrology and process documentation put in place or updated
  • Documentation of grinding and surface finishing process updates which will be useful for operations and quality in the next stages of the projects.
  • Organize analysis plans needed for grinding & surface finishing process optimization studies and document the results
