About The Position

The Chattanooga Heart Institute offers the most comprehensive cardiac care available in this region. Founded in 1976, we now have six offices in Tennessee and one in Georgia. Our practice is made up of 29 board-certified cardiologists, three cardiothoracic surgeons and three vascular surgeons. Requirements

  • Associate Of Nursing or Bachelors Of Nursing or Registered Nurse: TN, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient, collect appropriate data, and perform testing to prepare patient for physician visit.
  • Maintain patient flow through the clinic.
  • Forward test results and documentation to physician for review; execute orders as received. Notify patient of test results and ensure appropriate follow up per protocol.
  • Timely response of all patient care inquiries.
  • Complete patient refills as requested by both patient and pharmacy, ensuring appropriate labs are ordered per protocol.
  • Patient and family/caregiver education.
