About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the director, this role supervises the functions of the team. The coordinator assists with or conducts delegated projects and assumes managerial responsibilities, including the supervision and evaluation of patient care and nursing employees. They are responsible for clinical resources and coordinate preceptor activities. The position also involves assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of unit-specific systems/activities that lead to organizational improvement, and coordinating activities between shifts and clinical areas to ensure continuity of patient care. The Specialty Clinic Coordinator RN provides clinical patient care to patients within their scope of licensure and practice, utilizing knowledge of professional practice to deliver age-appropriate care based on scientific principles, standards of practice, and patient care standards for various patient populations.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing
  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions
  • Ability to supervise and evaluate assigned staff
  • Ability to foster and facilitate effective working relationships and team building
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict
  • Willingness to accept and manage change
  • Ability to analyze situations and solve problems
  • Skilled in the use of computer systems and related software applications

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably in a clinic setting or in a charge nurse role (for the 3 years RN experience)
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
