The Specialty Care Field Medical, Director is responsible for providing therapeutic area/product expertise for the designated therapeutic area across a broad range of external medical stakeholders (“EMS”) and initiatives in an assigned territory (typically comprised of one or more US states). This role involves planning and executing independent Medical strategies and engagements with external medical stakeholders, maintaining knowledge of relevant disease states and Pfizer medicines, and serving as a conduit for Medical Information and stakeholder insights. The position also contributes to Medical educational content strategy development, executes aligned Field Medical tactics, and ensures scientific communication and collaboration with various Pfizer departments. A key aspect of the role is optimizing patient care improvement through Medical communications, incorporating Health Literacy and cultural awareness principles. All activities must be conducted in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and compliance guidance. The role aims to enhance understanding of disease state and guideline-based care and improve overall patient care by educating external medical stakeholders based on patient care gaps and aligned to medical strategy. Leadership-defined expectations regarding the number of engaged external medical stakeholders must be achieved.
