About The Position

CVS Specialty is looking for a high-energy healthcare professional to join our Generic Conversion team as a Benefit Verification Specialist! This rewarding opportunity allows you to work closely with our dedicated Generic Team's Pharmacists and Pharmacy Service Representatives. You will work with insurance providers to verify coverage for generic drugs for cost saving opportunities for our patients. We believe that Benefit Verification Specialists are a key part of creating a positive experience for our patients. This is dynamic and fast-paced role that will require an understanding of insurance carriers and concepts including drug cards, knowledge of government and patient assistance programs.

Requirements

2-3 years of direct work experience with Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) knowledge.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.

Experience in a production environment.
Possess strong teamwork and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments competently, accurately and efficiently.
Must have met or exceeded 12 months in your current role.

Responsibilities

Verify insurance coverage and perform benefit investigation.
Obtain prior authorization for both new and existing patients in order to process patient prescription orders in a timely manner.
Demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals and insurance carriers.
