About The Position
This position is for a Specialized Programs Teacher Assistant within the Specialized Learning Disabled (SLD) program at Spring Valley High School. The role involves supporting specialized programs for students with learning disabilities. The position is for 9 months and requires 6 hours per day.
Requirements
- High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., General Educational Development (GED), foreign equivalency, etc.).
- Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or other similar organization. Certification must be maintained for the duration of the assignment. Certification training must be in-person and include a hands-on component. Online courses will not be accepted.
- High school transcript or other equivalent (i.e., GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
- Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications.

Nice To Haves
- Signing abilities (for the hearing-impaired program).
- One (1) year experience working with special education children.
