About The Position

This position is for a Teacher Assistant III in the Early Childhood Inclusion program. The role involves working with children and requires specific educational qualifications and certifications. Applicants must submit required documents with their application.

Requirements

• High school graduation or other equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
• Minimum of 48 credits from an accredited college or university or a passing score on the Educational Testing Service (ETS) ParaPro assessment.
• Experience working with children.
• Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or a similar organization. Certification must be maintained for duration of assignment. Certification training must be in-person and include a hands-on component. Online courses will not be accepted.
• High school transcript or other equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
• College transcript(s) from an accredited college or university, if applicable or copy of passing score on the ETS ParaPro assessment.
• A copy of the front and back of the CPR/AED certificate must be uploaded into the application.
• Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications.
• For Out of District Applicants: REQUIRED EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: Please disclose the three (3) most recent years of work experience including dates of unemployment, schooling and volunteer work under the “Experience and Credentials” section of the application.

Nice To Haves

• Signing abilities (for the hearing-impaired program).
• One (1) year of experience working with special education children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and developmental support of children in the Early Childhood Inclusion program.
