About The Position

The Vehicle Specialist performs light maintenance and repair for all vehicles while providing excellent service consistent with the Company's core service standards and brand attributes. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Holds a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in Vehicle maintenance experience

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting

Responsibilities

  • Perform light maintenance and repair of all vehicles in the department including replacing tires, changing light bulbs and other minor repairs.
  • Identify and report defects throughout the work environment; notify supervisors immediately of hazards, injuries, equipment or processes that negatively affect the operations.
  • Perform daily inspections of all vehicles by checking tire pressures, oil levels, major structural dents and scratches to ensure the vehicles are in proper working order and presentable before dispatching occurs.
  • Proactively greet, interact, and assist resort staff in a professional manner to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious work environment.
  • Proactively seek to provide refined luxury service ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Meet the demands of a fast-paced environment by using good judgment and the ability to multi-task.
  • Practice teamwork, create a positive work environment, greet fellow employees and thank them when they lend assistance.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, no matter how busy or time of day.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Own all requests and complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest’s satisfaction.
  • Participate in the company’s sustainability initiative through energy conservation and the use of recycling programs and materials.
  • Ensure Company property and equipment is properly used and maintained.
  • Protect and utilize Company assets in a responsible and professional manner.
  • Develop a maintenance schedule for all vehicles using computer spreadsheets and vendor contacts to ensure vehicles are repaired at the necessary location; maintain accurate records of each vehicle’s maintenance history.
  • Manage the out-sourced cleaning of all vehicles by using a checklist of specific guidelines to follow.
  • Maintain and keep an accurate record of all vehicle registration and renewals and handle renewals as they become due.
  • Operate different types of vehicles including manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Troubleshoot vehicle problems to ensure vehicle repairs are sent to the correct vendors and locations for specific repairs.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with vendors; coordinate times and locations for vehicle maintenance.
  • Update management of vehicle repairs and quotes for repairs through electronic spreadsheet on a weekly basis.
  • Provide management with monthly expenses to maintain each vehicle.
  • When requested provide assistance with Executive vehicles.
  • Keep inventory of vehicle maintenance supplies and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Prioritize maintenance by necessity to ensure enough vehicles are on the road during peak days and times.
