About The Position

The Trade Marketing Specialist will execute retail centric shopper marketing programs to drive consideration and purchase conversion. They are responsible for executing initiatives that improve CCM’s presence and product communication at the retail level, for collaborating with suppliers and key internal stakeholders to execute POP and signage, merchandising plans and consumer promotions at retail, and for monitoring, tracking, and reporting on retail initiatives. The incumbent must execute shopper marketing initiatives with excellence to make CCM the preferred supplier amongst its retail partners. This position is based in our Westborough, Massachusetts office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Account Management or Project Management is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of the sporting goods retail environment, including in-store branding, merchandising and fixtures.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong skills with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Trade Marketing team to leverage shopper marketing data.
  • Contribute towards the development of strategies and activation plans that enhance the shopper journey at retail with an omnichannel approach.
  • Create omnichannel marketing account plans that deliver against strategic business objectives and sales targets with U.S. retail partners.
  • Build detailed full year marketing calendars and co-op budget to support for each retail partner.
  • Develop and execute retail footprint strategies for U.S. retail accounts.
  • Lead marketing execution with independent retail accounts to increase brand visibility and sales conversion for CCM products.
  • Develop point-of-purchase displays, fixtures, window graphics and signage to engage shoppers and drive purchase conversion in collaboration with suppliers and internal graphic design team.
  • Update retail fixtures and signage to support product launches and communicate core technologies.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for shopper marketing materials.
  • Develop distribution lists for all retail marketing materials.
  • Coordinate delivery and installation of retail marketing tools (window graphics, fixtures, POP) with suppliers, sales team and retail partners.
  • Responsible for on-time delivery and quality of retail footprint programs.
  • Execute and communicate consumer promotions that drive traffic to retail (rebate cards, gift with purchase, summer sales, etc.).
  • Monitor, track and report on execution of initiatives.
