About The Position

As the Specialist, Systems Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for hardware and software requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, verification, and validation of technical products and systems. You will also be responsible for conducting component trade studies, performing system integration, and characterizing system performance. The Agile Development Group (ADG) specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior systems integration experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior systems integration experience required. In lieu of a degree, 8 years of prior systems integration experience required.
  • 4+ years of system-level design experience involving the design and integration of complex hardware/software systems, definition of multiple internal and external interfaces, and participation in trade studies evaluating multiple solution options.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in system integration, engineering testing, and system performance characterization.
  • Active DoD clearance with current 5-year update.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with and a strong understanding of aerospace systems, particularly in the development of integrated hardware and software products.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, or C/C++/C#.
  • Experience with unmanned aircraft or guided weapon systems.
  • Experience with radar systems, other sensor modalities, or RF systems.
  • Experience with requirements management using DOORS.
  • Experience with proposal development, including generating basis of estimates.
  • Experience developing use cases derived from customer objectives and concepts of operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment

Responsibilities

  • Define, flow down, and trace requirements for complex electronic systems using Agile and MBSE practices.
  • Lead system design, integration, verification, and validation activities for new and updated products.
  • Develop integration and test plans, coordinate test execution, and analyze verification results.
  • Lead rapid development cycles across requirements, design, build, integration, test, and validation.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues in development and production and escalate when needed.
  • Assess system and production risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate across engineering, operations, test, and vendors to drive technical solutions.
  • Perform system design synthesis, interface definition, and trade studies for complex electronic systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, design artifacts, test procedures, and support plans.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement through lessons learned and process feedback.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
