About The Position

Perform System Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) Engineering responsibilities involving system integration, testing, data analysis, and documentation of test results, while also supporting production transitions to ensure seamless transfer of systems into manufacturing. This position is part of the broader Systems Engineering Organization within Navigation Solutions (NS) at L3Harris in Yorba Linda, CA. The role requires experience with test scripting for system integration, acceptance testing, development of special test equipment (STE), printed circuit board (PCB) design and development, and test validation techniques. Navigation Solutions products deliver advanced military GPS and other Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) capabilities for use across weapons, ground, airborne, maritime, and space environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong scripting experience (Python and NI Teststand required) and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of system test automation execution and experience in isolating issues in both software and hardware.
  • Regularly contributes to overall test integration and automation process improvement.
  • Must work effectively in both independent and team environments.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed test plans, procedures, scripts, and configurations to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability at component, subsystem, and system levels.
  • Execute integration and test events in lab, field, and operational environments, including setup of test equipment, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and test assets.
  • Analyze test data, identify anomalies, perform root-cause investigations, and coordinate cross-functional resolution activities with design engineering, software, hardware, and manufacturing teams.
  • Document test results, generate formal test reports, and support technical reviews, design audits, and readiness assessments.
  • Manage system configurations, interface definitions, and integration baselines using established configuration management processes and tools.
  • Support requirements verification through creation and maintenance of verification cross‑reference matrices, test mapping, and traceability analyses.
  • Provide engineering support during system deployment, customer demonstrations, factory acceptance tests, and field support activities as required.
