The Special Education Data and Compliance Specialist supports the Special Services Department by coordinating and monitoring compliance with federal, state, and district requirements related to special education services. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate compliance systems, monitoring regulatory timelines, analyzing special education data, and supporting campuses in implementing compliant documentation and reporting practices. The position plays a critical role in supporting the district’s compliance with IDEA, TEA requirements, and state performance indicators while helping ensure the accuracy of TSDS/PEIMS reporting and Special Education funding documentation. The Specialist works collaboratively with district and campus staff to strengthen internal compliance systems, improve data integrity, and reduce compliance risk. This position requires professional-level analysis, organization, and coordination to support evolving state accountability and funding requirements for Special Education programs.
