About The Position

The Specialist, Sourcing – IT & Indirect supports the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for IT categories (e.g., software, hardware, SaaS, telecom, IT services) and Indirect categories (e.g., professional services, facilities, marketing, HR services). The role partners with stakeholders to translate business requirements into competitive sourcing events, negotiates commercial terms, and ensures value delivery through cost optimization, risk mitigation, and supplier performance management.

Requirements

  • Strong grasp of strategic sourcing, RFx methods, TCO modeling, cost‑breakdown analysis, and contract structures.
  • Familiarity with software licensing (perpetual vs. subscription), SaaS agreements, cloud services, and hardware lifecycle; understanding of data privacy/security implications in IT sourcing.
  • Knowledge of services procurement and outcome‑based SLAs across diverse spend areas.
  • Ability to craft negotiation strategies, leverage competitive tension, and close agreements with measurable value.
  • Proficiency in Excel/analytics; capable of normalizing bids, running scenarios, and building cost models.
  • Strong communication, influence, and relationship skills working across finance, IT, legal, and operations.
  • Compliance mindset with SOPs/policies; disciplined documentation and audit readiness.
  • Proactive, organized, data‑driven, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • Typically 3–6 years in procurement/sourcing with a focus on IT and/or Indirect categories at mid‑market/enterprise scale.
  • Demonstrated savings delivery, contract execution, and stakeholder satisfaction; experience running RFx and negotiations end‑to‑end.

  • CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent procurement certification
  • ITIL or cloud vendor certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure foundational)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain IT & Indirect category strategies, aligning demand forecasts, budgets, and risk profiles with stakeholder objectives.
  • Identify consolidation, standardization, and savings opportunities across business units.
  • Develop RFIs/RFPs/RFQs (scope, SLA/KPI, evaluation criteria), run competitive events, analyze bids (TCO, price‑breaks, scenario analysis), and present award recommendations.
  • Utilize e‑sourcing tools and structured evaluation models to ensure fairness and transparency.
  • Negotiate commercial terms (pricing models, discounts, credits), service levels, and key legal clauses (termination, liability caps, data protection for IT).
  • Support drafting and redlining with Legal; ensure alignment to procurement policy.
  • Partner with IT, Security, Finance, and business stakeholders to validate requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead supplier onboarding, performance reviews, and corrective action plans.
  • Track and report savings (hard/soft), avoidance, and benefits; ensure PO/contract compliance and catalog enablement.
  • Enforce SOPs, policies, and regulatory guidelines in all sourcing activities.
  • Assess supplier risks (cybersecurity for IT suppliers, business continuity, ESG), implement mitigation plans, and support due diligence.
  • Promote sustainable sourcing (energy efficiency, responsible supply chain) in line with corporate objectives.
  • Maintain category dashboards, market indices, and spend cubes; provide insights to drive decisions.
  • Contribute to process improvements supporting Finance Transformation.
