About The Position

The Specialist Snowmaker - Controller is an office-based, data management and logistics position involving light physical duty. The role supports outside snowmaking operations by controlling several machine rooms from a computer console using multiple software programs. The position requires strong communication, organization, documentation, and reporting skills. It is a winter seasonal role for 2026/2027, with full-time hours available. The listed pay range is $24.64 to $35.20 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
Fluent spoken, written, and reading English.
Ability to ski or snowboard at level 6 ability if necessary.
At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Follow snowmaking policies, safety guidelines, and best-practice procedures.
Operate transportation vehicles according to standard operating procedures.
Understand the safe and efficient operation of snowmaking equipment.
Follow standards, enterprise best practices, and safety procedures in the operational manual.
Operate, inspect, and maintain electronic snowmaking monitoring systems and equipment.
Communicate effectively, regularly, and continuously across shifts and with team leadership and adjacent resort teams.
Report and monitor snowmaking production and consumption of resources such as water and electricity.
Assist with standard snowmaking duties and equipment and systems maintenance.
Work with Mountain Operations departments, including Grooming, Race, Ski Patrol, Lift Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance, and Lift Operations.
Perform fan gun maintenance and troubleshooting.
Perform other duties as assigned.
