The ideal candidate will track and report in the management of plant logistics operations including handling of coils, slabs and steel to support the business goals of ArcelorMittal Calvert.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or similar field; or equivalent experience required
  • 3 - 5 years knowledge of transport, loading and unloading heavy cargo
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management
  • Knowledge of Vendor Management
  • Knowledge on material flow
  • SAP Experience
  • Possess strong Management skills
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office
  • Ability to navigate and work with warehouse management system
  • Performs Root Cause Analysis
  • Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments
  • Makes good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
  • Gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
  • Builds strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals

Responsibilities

  • Position is responsible for the daily management of inventory and accuracy
  • Administers storage rules, stacking perimeters and administrative changes within TWMS client.
  • Monitors and implements improvements that drive yard efficiency.
  • Works with Production Planning on incoming, outgoing and aged material so that the yard runs with limited delays
  • Follow up on all discrepancies and messaging conflicts within the yard
  • Ensure work order reporting is accurate.
