About The Position

The Specialist Security Infrastructure is the SHA's expert for facility assessments, design, planning, and installation of security technologies. The Specialist Security Infrastructure is responsible for the provision, sustainability and maintenance of technological security systems at all SHA properties and responsible for providing security management and analytical expertise to the operational planning of the security infrastructure systems for the SHA. This position facilitates engagement of clinical and operational staff at all levels of the organization to support the implementation and operations of the integrated SHA security system (computerized electronic card access, computerized building control systems, alarm system monitoring and response, closed circuit video monitoring, radio communications, photo identification, computer analytics, etc.). Independently performs major repairs/installations on a wide variety of complex building systems and equipment. Other duties will be to support physical Protective Services operations as required by the Director or Manager of Protective Services North.

Requirements

  • Building Systems Technician certificate or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Degree in Computer Sciences.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable.
