About The Position

The Human Resources Recruiting Specialist will serve a broad variety of services within the Team Member Services Department. Primary responsibilities duties of the Specialist, Recruiting include, but are not limited to, daily team member relations and interaction, maintaining employee records, ATS maintenance and interview scheduling, new hire orientation, HRIS maintenance, hourly compensation, and supporting benefits and HR policy questions. The incumbent will be expected to handle all team member service needs in a fully confidential and protective manner.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English highly desired but not mandatory.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or human resources is preferred; a PHR certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of recent and relevant HR administrative experience
  • An advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Skills is required – particularly Excel and Word including pivot tables, LOOKUP functions, sorting and advanced filtering.
  • Working knowledge of benefit insurance products.
  • Experience effectively managing HRIS and ATS system – BambooHR is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal skills that show an ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the team, management, and external parties.
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing work and multitasking while under pressure of strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Former experience operating independently with little or no supervision while effectively interacting with all levels of a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform recruitment activities such as candidate contact, onboarding activities including pre-employment needs including drug screenings, pre-employment physicals and background/MVR checks for new hires.
  • Assists with the administration of payroll/HRIS data entry to ensure proper processing of required documents through payroll and insurance providers to confirm accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
  • Delivers exceptional service to colleagues in Team Member Services in a variety of administrative duties including but not limited to employment verifications, file set-up and maintenance, HR policy guidance, data management and analysis; data support requirements far exceed basic data entry.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including FMLA, Affirmative Action, ADA, EEO laws, I-9, and E-Verify process.
  • Audit personnel files and I-9 forms for accuracy.
  • Supports team members through detailed understanding and in-depth working knowledge of all the employer-sponsored benefit plans and assist team members and managers by fielding and answering benefit related questions in a timely manner by walk-in, phone, email or text.
  • Ensure compliance with court-mandated deductions, including wage garnishments, child support orders, and tax levies.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices from insurance carriers against employee payroll deductions, ensuring accuracy.
