Support multiple programs by interfacing and collaborating with Management, Program Office, Engineering, and Test functions regarding technical requirements. This role requires knowledge in ISO/AS9100 specifications and strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external customers, often through presentations. The Specialist will work on Continuous Improvement Projects, lead Corrective/Preventive Action investigations (RCCA’s, 8D), and develop/implement program quality plans and procedures using statistical quality controls and analyses. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving engineering specifications such as Work Authorization Flow Tags (WOFTs), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), drawings, models, and manufacturing work instructions for adequacy, quality, and compliance. The role also involves Material Review Board collaboration, FRACAS and Failure Analysis support in Test Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings, creation of Quality Plans and SDRL/CDRL requirements, and the ability to work with minimal direct supervision. The Specialist will perform/conduct updates to APQP deliverables, FAI reports, internal audits, etc., and may require potential travel to support customer needs. Additionally, the role involves reviewing/assigning/updating appropriate Quality Clauses to purchased products. Essential functions include creating plans for developing and/or transferring manufacturing operations, applying modern quality principles (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma), analyzing defect data, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, performing root cause analysis, demonstrating GD&T fundamentals, assessing the need for First Article Inspections (FAIs), and implementing AS9100 requirements into standard work.
