About The Position

Performs quality checks on IGSS products to ensure they meet quality standards and business requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating assembly of products, assisting in the procurement of parts, conducting test and validation activities, handling warranty / RMA claims, collaborating with development and engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with customer expectations, regulatory, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or quality management is preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience in automotive diagnostics or related fields
  • Experience working with a team of engineers in the development and validation of software and hardware
  • Basic understanding of automotive protocol standards (ISO15765/CAN, ISO14230/KW2000, ISO9141, J1850, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of diagnostic specifications, wiring schematics, harness prints, workshop manuals, electrical troubleshooting manuals
  • Ability to solve problems and create clear accurate documents
  • Basic knowledge of quality management programs such as Six Sigma, SPC, TQC, etc.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • High ability to create and follow methodical quality management procedures
  • Self-sufficient to work independently; requires little management oversight or supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple objectives and projects at one time
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Must have an up-to-date forklift operator certification

Responsibilities

  • Validates all IGSS software and web-based products, calibration programming, etc. as needed.
  • Performs validation tasks as directed by the Quality Release Manager.
  • Creates validation/test report for each validation/test item.
  • Validates all IGSS hardware products, cables, and harnesses.
  • Performs validation tasks as directed by the Quality Release Manager.
  • Creates validation/test report for each validation/test item.
  • Performs testing; test bench set-up support to development team, hardware/firmware team, customers, and all areas where testing, troubleshooting for IGSS products.
  • Coordinates and hardware and firmware; specifically, methods for testing quality of hardware and firmware built in-house or outsourced.
  • Creates methods for tracking the quality testing of hardware and firmware.
  • Provides advanced support and root cause analysis for issues reported by the customer, technical assistance lines, and warranty team as required.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
