About The Position

Join the Homeowner Operations Monitoring and Reporting team, in the Specialist, Quality Assurance Analysis position, where you will lead the development of data-driven insights that drive CMHC’s vision. You will lead the creation, validation, data quality and oversight of scheduled client data, dashboards and reporting. You will also produce key insights, strategy and tangible actions mined from multiple data sources. This is a temporary position that will end in September 2027.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, IT or commerce.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in data reporting.
  • Strong awareness of CMHC's mandate and strong understanding of its regulatory environment.
  • Strong knowledge in technical skills with different sources of data collection (Advance Excel, Access, SAS, R, Python, Data Bricks, Power BI- DAX, SharePoint, Project and Cloud Based Applications). Also, the ability to write and manipulate code, to gather necessary data, is required.
  • Familiarity with outcome measurement, logic models, public policy and government direction.
  • Demonstrated project management experience; quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills; ability to take initiative and work independently on policy and product improvement projects as well as the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare insightful and value-added written analyses for management’s review and take initiative to conduct analysis required to explain performance issues (positive and negative changes).
  • Execute ad hoc analysis to provide senior management with data and recommendations to assist with new policy development.
  • Lead interactions with relevant business units in order to drive the identification and development of appropriate performance measures and targets.
  • Provide high level analytical support in the creation of analytical reports. Ensure data validation and quality control checks are performed and take the lead in ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Lead a continuous process of improvement for generating "state-of-the-art" KPIs and follows up to ensure desired results are achieved, taking the lead on any revisions that may be necessary.
  • Take a lead role in working with business units to identify and develop performance measures and targets; provides expert advice and guidance on adoption of relevant measures and targets.
  • Oversee the monitoring of overall data quality in related systems; leads the resolution of any issues to assure the integrity of the information held in the system. Proactively identify issues that could compromise integrity and leads initiatives to address issues.
