About The Position

As a Specialist Plumber at JLL, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our facilities' plumbing systems. Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all water, drainage, and plumbing infrastructure operates reliably and efficiently. Your expertise will directly contribute to creating safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environments for our clients and their occupants. This hands-on position combines technical skill with problem-solving abilities, offering you the opportunity to work with specialized equipment while making a tangible impact on facility operations.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial plumbing
  • Demonstrated proficiency in specialized plumbing tools, methods, and repair techniques used in commercial facility maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques, including use, repair, and inspection of backflow devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical documentation related to plumbing systems.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to plumbing work and facility maintenance.
  • Experience with record keeping principles and procedures, including documenting work performed and tracking parts inventory.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience maintaining commercial plumbing systems in large facilities or multi-building properties.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order tracking and documentation.
  • Cross-training or experience in other basic trades to provide versatile maintenance support.
  • Valid plumbing license or relevant certifications (jurisdiction-dependent).
  • Experience estimating job requirements and managing parts inventory for maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and service all structural plumbing equipment including water softeners, circulating pumps, fountains, sinks, and restroom facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues related to drains, pipes, and water systems, working from blueprints, diagrams, and sketches to implement effective solutions.
  • Clear drains and obstructions in water and sewer systems; replace and repair fixtures including sink faucets, drinking fountain faucets, flush valves, vacuum breakers, and check valves.
  • Install, repair, and test backflow prevention devices using preventive maintenance techniques to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Estimate time, materials, and equipment requirements for assigned jobs; maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and assist in restocking inventory.
  • Provide cross-functional support in various maintenance areas, performing semi-skilled to skilled repair and construction work in basic trades as needed.
  • Implement proper safety practices at all job sites, maintain clean work areas, and follow all health and safety protocols consistently.
