Requirements

High degree of knowledge and skill level in programming of motion systems, PLC's, and associated Controls systems.
Knowledge and familiarity with Allen Bradley.
5 years of experience in a Controls Engineering role in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of controls systems development methodology.
Ability to interact and communicate with all levels in the organization.
Advanced PLC programming skills.
Leads by accomplishment and example.
Promotes a good working relationship with supervisors, co-workers, and staff.
Encourages and motivates others.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as both a technical expert and a leader within the Plant. Lead by influence and expertise.
Plans control strategies for all automated equipment.
Guide maintenance of controls systems of production machinery to include all PLC driven equipment.
Assist with design and development of control systems for new equipment and systems.
Provide guidance on all controls systems.
Troubleshoot, test, and repair control systems.
Assist mechanics and provide control logic guidance and training.
Supervise (dotted line), educate, and train plant personnel.
Maintain expertise within the Controls Engineer field; stay abreast of new technology, emerging software code, and new equipment.
