About The Position
Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately, but the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community. While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve. We’re looking for Full-time Night Shift Specialist, Physical Security to support operations at our new Central Fill Pharmacy in Springfield, MO. The (USA) Specialist, Physical Security plays a critical role in developing and implementing security protocols, training, and emergency response strategies to ensure a safe environment. This position involves managing incident command during emergencies, conducting threat assessments, and responding tactically to life safety events. The specialist ensures compliance with corporate and regulatory standards while collaborating with internal and external partners. By investigating security incidents and supporting mitigation efforts, this role contributes to maintaining operational integrity and protecting associates, assets, and information across Walmart facilities. The Physical Security team develops and implements security strategies to safeguard retail pharmacy and optical operations. This team ensures the safety of associates and customers by maintaining effective security processes that support uninterrupted business functions and regulatory compliance. They oversee Health & Wellness security operations to mitigate risks and promote business continuity. Collaborating closely with Threat Management, the team responds to incidents and emergencies with tactical expertise. Their commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement fosters a secure environment aligned with Walmart’s standards and operational goals.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in Law Enforcement (LEO), Security, or Military
- Proven experience in physical security operations, including emergency and incident response.
- Strong knowledge of crisis and threat management protocols and procedures.
- Ability to implement and improve security systems, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
- Skilled in tactical response to life safety events such as active shooter, fire, and severe weather incidents.
- Experience conducting investigations related to security breaches, policy violations, and threat assessments.
- Effective collaboration with internal teams and external agencies to maintain a safe environment.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and continuous improvement in security practices.
- 1 year experience in security, law enforcement, military, emergency services or related field.

Responsibilities
- Support development and implementation of security protocols, programs, and training to enhance safety and compliance.
- Respond to emergency situations by initiating incident command and providing tactical security responses for life safety events.
- Implement and monitor security systems including alarm, intrusion detection, and threat management strategies.
- Investigate reported threats, policy violations, and security breaches, ensuring timely reporting and mitigation.
- Assess visitor threat levels and assist with escorting critical information and merchandise securely.
- Ensure regulatory and corporate policy compliance by identifying and resolving safety and security issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to promote a safe working environment and effective emergency response.
- Will complete and pass all core components of the Physical Security Specialist Training Academy within 90 days of job entry date and will maintain them while employed in this position.
