About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking a Specialist, Manufacturing Engineering, Refurb to join our Refurb Engineering team. This position will be based in our Burnet, TX facility. In this role, you will report through the engineering organization and assist production technicians and engineers throughout the factory. You will use your operational knowledge to assist with production troubleshooting, enhance equipment operability, support continuous improvement projects, and close investigation CAPAs. You will also serve as an operational representative in FMEA reviews, audit support and SPC reviews to drive safety and quality improvements to the factory floor.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in technical or mechanical field or comparable work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in operating/maintaining manufacturing equipment or equivalent relevant education and experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in equipment maintenance/repair and basic understanding of motors, pneumatics, and metrology equipment such as moisture, particle and leak detectors.
  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in the SAP client database.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email required.
  • Familiarity with working in ISO 9000/14000 environments.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent planning, organization, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and push up to 130lbs.
  • Dependability with flexibility to work extended hours as needed to support business needs.
  • Strong knowledge of safe work practices and ability to support safety improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure seamless operation of production equipment by promptly addressing all equipment and processing issues by being the first point of contact.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting guidance to Operators and promptly report occurrences to Engineers.
  • Assist in root cause investigations, identifying and implementing corrective actions.
  • Drive productivity in the manufacturing process by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, quality, yield, efficiency, and/or cost, and successfully implement improvements.
  • Design and construct Proof of Concept parts/equipment for testing purposes.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering in the development and execution of Design of Experiment trials, equipment qualifications and other CIP initiatives as needed.
  • Provide comprehensive process and equipment training to Operators in both formal and informal settings.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to document and update Work Instructions, Response Flow Checklists, and other necessary documents.
  • Prepare presentations and training materials as needed.
  • Participate in FMEA, WI, Provisional Standard, ergo reviews as needed.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on metrology equipment and coordinate with the Planning & Production team to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct troubleshooting equipment and replace defective parts using hand and power tools as necessary.
  • Maintain inventories of spare parts and supplies as needed.
