Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years experience in cost estimation, financial analysis, or related roles within the automotive or relevant comparable industries.
• Solid technical understanding of manufacturing processes, especially in the automotive industry, to effectively challenge and validate launch costs.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate and challenge cost-related information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy in forecasting and documentation.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability, especially in the context of cost-related challenges.
• Sound financial acumen and understanding of budgeting processes.
• Integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset.
• Comfortable with change and flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough analysis of various cost components associated with the factory launch, including but not limited to equipment, labor, materials, and operational expenses.
• Develop accurate and detailed financial forecasts based on the gathered cost data, providing essential insights into the financial implications of the launch.
• Collaborate with department heads to establish and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with the overall launch strategy and financial goals.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements throughout the launch process, contributing to overall cost-effectiveness.
• Learn, analyze, and understand the technical processes within the factory to challenge and validate cost estimations effectively.
• Engage proactively with departments such as Production, Procurement, and Finance to gather relevant data and ensure a holistic understanding of cost factors.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation outlining cost breakdowns, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies for review by senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Create dashboards and support reporting automation through Excel-based tools and apply AI-driven analytics to support data-driven decision making.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on post-launch evaluations, helping refine cost estimation processes for future projects.
• Effectively communicate cost-related findings, recommendations, and risks to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
• Proactively identify potential risks in cost estimation and support escalation processes, working collaboratively to develop risk mitigation plans.
