About The Position

The Inventory Control Coordinator supports warehouse and inventory operations by maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating material availability, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and inventory management standards. This role supports production and maintenance activities through inventory tracking, forecasting, cycle counting, reporting, and stock replenishment while working closely with internal departments, vendors, and contractors.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years successful experience in Inventory Control
  • Strong understanding of inventory management processes and inventory control standards
  • Knowledge of supply chain constraints and inventory management practices
  • Understanding of the financial impact of inventory optimization
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet required deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer and inventory tracking system skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, vendors, and contractors

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Inventory control certifications or specialized inventory management training
  • Experience in mining or other industrial operations
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems such as SAP

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and MSHA requirements.
  • Ensure inventory activities are performed in compliance with company operating procedures and inventory standards.
  • Verify employees and contractors are qualified and authorized to perform assigned work activities.
  • Coordinate inventory requirements with production, maintenance, and internal customers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock quantities to support operational requirements.
  • Replenish warehouse inventory and process inventory requests and order documentation.
  • Track inventory movement and distribution throughout the operation.
  • Coordinate and oversee inventory cycle counting activities.
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy and accountability.
  • Investigate and document inventory discrepancies, surplus materials, damaged goods, and product returns.
  • Forecast inventory requirements based on production and maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain inventory records and prepare inventory reports and evaluations.
  • Support inventory analysis related to stock optimization and inventory usage.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal departments.
  • Communicate updates related to inventory requirements, standards, and operational changes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • Demonstrate behaviors aligned with company values and operational expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
