Designs, develops, and installs RF Communication suites, schedules, and implements equipment required for testing and evaluating standards and special devices used in airport safety-of-flight. manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Duties of this individual will include maintaining a wide range of Air Traffic control electronics, i.e. Airport Surveillance Radar, Instrument Landing Systems, voice recorders, UHF/VHF transmitters and receivers, and will involve the occasional need to climb towers up to 200 ft. Successful candidate will be required to assist multiple programs in installing and troubleshooting a wide range of RF communications systems. Essential Functions: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Airport surveillance Radar, Instrument Landing systems, Air Traffic Control radio communications systems, Tactical air Navigation equipment, Automated Weather Observation Systems, and Digital Voice Communications Switches as well as a myriad of support equipment Provide support to multiple programs both on-site and abroad in installation and troubleshooting a wide range of RF communications systems This position requires 75% work related intensive labor and 25% technically skilled problem solving Required to work well in a team environment expected to perform work at increasing levels of skill and complexity Reliability, communication skills, workmanship, and good judgement are essential traits Ability to use Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Power Point and ability to search internet to find technical information when required Proficient written and oral communication skills
