About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist II is responsible for picking and staging customer orders on the shipping dock, counting and cross-checking staged orders for accuracy before shipment, replenishing warehouse picking locations, loading and unloading trailers, putting away products into designated storage locations, and maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse and individual picking areas. Additionally, this role requires proficiency in the Oracle order processing system to locate and process daily replenishments, manage inventory cycle counting, and address system-related issues. This position must work independently and proactively, effectively communicating key customer service or system concerns to management. This position also supports receiving personnel in processing reimbursements, third-party receipts, and quarantine loads into Oracle, as well as being qualified to assist in the Returns department when needed. The position is required to demonstrate reliability and flexibility and be available for overtime as needed to meet demand spikes or special projects. The position will be required to train and mentor newly onboarded warehouse staff in the basic duties required of a Warehouse Specialist I. Other responsibilities may be assigned by management as necessary. This role is on day shift and is 100% onsite at our Lancaster, TX warehouse facility.

Requirements

  • Current forklift certification
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years warehousing experience across 2 or more areas (e.g., receiving, inventory control, shipping, or returns)

Nice To Haves

  • Stand-up forklift preferred
  • Motorized (electric) pallet jack certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
  • Oracle experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Pick, prepare, and palletize finished goods for shipment in a team-oriented environment.
  • Operate forklift or other equipment as required for material movement within the distribution center, completing daily vehicle inspection reports and ensuring proper charging of vehicles.
  • Complete warehouse tasks using a handheld RF scanner (picking, replenishing, and putting away items), ensuring precise data entry, verifying product details, and recording serial numbers.
  • Load/Unload trailers and verify the accuracy of the order.
  • Demonstrate reliability and adaptability by being available for additional hours or overtime as needed and rapidly shifting across various warehouse areas.
  • Assist in training new contractors within the department on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and operational standards.
  • Pick product from stock verifying list number, lot number, count, etc., ensuring the order is properly processed for shipment.
  • Palletize shipments after identifying specific customers and verifying orders, attaching packing lists, and performing cross-checks.
  • Pick, check, over pack, consolidate, and process parcel cases as necessary.
  • Verify accuracy of shipments received, determine locations for products, and put product into available locations.
  • Replenish pick locations based on daily reports and Inventory Supervisor assignment.
  • Perform Cycle Count duties daily and report discrepancies.
  • Qualify in the Returns department to process returns as needed.
  • Utilize Oracle transaction knowledge for product look-up, subinventory moves, receipts, replenishments, and running discoverer reports.
  • Adhere to all good manufacturing practices, Food and Drug guidelines, and Drug Enforcement Laws.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Work in teams as designated (e.g., Safety, 5S, Lean).
