About The Position

The Specialist I, End-User Support delivers routine, clearly defined tasks that support the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of endpoint devices and local site technology. Impact is localized to immediate hardware/software outputs and is measured through accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to provisioning instructions. Works within established deployment procedures and receives regular direction from senior IT team members to ensure employees receive a reliable digital workplace experience. Builds foundational technical capability by applying standard practices to resolve routine local IT issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field required, or equivalent experience required.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in technical support, desktop support, IT asset coordination, or a related field required.
  • Knowledge & prior working experience with Microsoft and Mac OS - highly desired
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge & prior working experience with ServiceNow ticketing system - desired
  • Ability to work on-site and travel as needed (10%-15%) to other local Distribution Centers for End-User Support projects
  • Ranges from beginning to moderate expertise in the primary domain of endpoint hardware lifecycle and basic operating system deployment.
  • May demonstrate early/starting expertise in an adjacent/new technical domain (e.g., mobile device management) depending on role and experience.
  • Ability to participate in team on-call support rotation (2 weeks/year)
  • Impact is localized to immediate outputs and is measured through accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to instructions.
  • Ability to physically handle and set up IT equipment at local sites as needed.
  • Strong communication & customer service skills

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), or equivalent certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivers routine, clearly defined tasks related to imaging, deploying, and supporting endpoint devices (laptops, mobile devices, peripherals) for a single site or team priority.
  • Follows documented troubleshooting steps and standard practices to resolve routine local site technology issues (e.g., meeting room tech, local printing).
  • Works within established IT asset management procedures, receiving regular direction and review from more senior team members on hardware deployments.
  • Decisions regarding device configuration are narrow to moderate in scope, typically guided by prior examples and periodically reviewed; requires close supervision for ambiguous technical work.
  • Communicates primarily within the immediate End-User Support team, sharing progress on hardware rollouts, questions, and basic observations.
  • Escalates unclear deployment requirements or hardware risks early, seeking confirmation before proceeding in ambiguous situations.
  • Identifies straightforward improvements within local site tasks (e.g., desk setup efficiency) and escalates issues that fall outside standard provisioning procedures.
  • Support team scheduled phone queue coverage required
