About The Position
This role involves performing plant maintenance, monitoring plant health, and adhering to standard operating procedures within the vegetation and flowering rooms. The position requires a commitment to following all applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines, including the safe and proper operation of machinery, instrumentation, and equipment. Teamwork is essential to meet production schedules, and good communication skills with colleagues and management are necessary. The role also emphasizes maintaining good housekeeping habits, including cleaning and organizing the assigned work area at the end of each shift. Accurate record-keeping of daily production and communication of these records to management are key responsibilities. A willingness to work hard and learn is expected, along with understanding and applying the use of BioTrack, the seed-to-sale tracking program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Working longer hours as needed, including weekends and holidays
- Working indoors as well as outdoors during all seasonal temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform tasks sitting, standing, stretching, walking, bending, reaching and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to work as a team player
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass a Federal background check
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE
Nice To Haves
- Greenhouse experience a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform plant maintenance using standard operating procedures within the vegetation and flowering rooms
- Monitor plant health
- Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines, including the safe and proper operation of any/all applicable machinery, instrumentation, and equipment
- Work as a team to meet production schedules
- Practice good housekeeping habits throughout the plant with focus and personal contributions towards a clean and organized assigned work area at the end of the assigned shift, including mopping floors, sanitizing work spaces and sweeping
- Maintain accurate records of daily production and communicate those records to management
- Understand and apply the use of BioTrack, our seed to sale tracking program
