About The Position

Welcome to the “What's Next District.” AREA15’s Specialist, HR Operations supports the Human Resources Department by ensuring compliance, providing project support, onboarding, internal communication as well as other HR Operations duties. The Specialist, HR Operations also help guide team members through human resources procedures and answer questions about the company’s general policies. Most importantly, Specialist, HR Operations will help foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR process and practice are streamlined for all team members. The position reports to the HR Manager.

Requirements

  • 2 years of proven experience in an HR support positions, such as HR Coordinator or HR Representative.
  • Exposure to Federal, State, and Local Labor Law and employment regulations.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in Human Resources Information Systems and various modules.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights and smoke
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend and lift for extended periods of time
  • Must be proficient in the English language; additional language skills preferred
  • Must have the ability to withstand extreme weather conditions, such as but not limited to high temperatures, heat, and sun exposure

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all internal and external Human Resources related inquiries or requests and direct them to the right HR team member.
  • Identify and resolve employment needs in a timely manner.
  • Know when you escalate when there is uncertainty.
  • Facilitate and manage the pre- and onboarding processes while striving to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage and monitor New Hire Orientation attendance.
  • Actively participate in Employee Engagement events.
  • Maintain and audit employees' records.
  • Assist with performance management procedures.
  • Produce and submit reports on general Human Resources activity as assigned.
  • Assist with ad-hoc Human Resources projects.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest Human Resources trends and best practices.
  • Assist in monitoring and enforcing progress in team member engagement.
  • Maintain all compliance requirements, such as work card audits.
  • Assist in developing and delivering team member engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with internal communication and managing the communication tools.
  • Process team members’ inquiries and respond in a timely manner.
  • Update team member records accurately and timely.
  • Exhibit ART! at all times.
  • Perform other work-related duties.
