The Specialist, Health Information Management is a detail oriented person who provides timely and proactive medical record retrieval support to Patient Care Teams across all DaVita IKC. This role serves as a subject matter expert and primary contact for medical record needs. Due to the high amount details and electronic tracking of information, this position requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and computer literacy. This position performs release of PHI (Protected Health Information) and medical records compilation relative to Government/Payor Audit, Patient, and Third-Party Requests for ROI (Release of Information) according to established policies, regulations and Federal/State laws. Teammates in this position foster respect for patient privacy by maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of role. This position promotes positive customer relations through prompt and courteous service in this fast-paced and high-volume environment.
