Position Purpose This position is an eCommerce support function to layout and produce assets within technical specifications for marketing, email, and other materials for petco.com, reporting directly to the eCommerce Digital Manager-Creative, but on a per project basis may also take direction and get approvals from the other Digital Manager - Production or Director of Creative and Content. Must have a high level of technical skill with Adobe Creative Suite, efficiency, flexibility and versatility are highly valued. The ideal candidate loves the details of creating clear, well-laid out assets but must also have good design skills so we can interpret style guides into files that will meet brand creative standards. Requires a high degree of focus and extreme diligence in handling detail, typography and creating 100% accurate digital assets. Must feel comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and be deadline-driven. Must also be willing to work a few hours of overtime when occasionally needed.

Requirements

  • advanced working knowledge of all MAC graphics system and software (relevant at the time of hire).
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and the demonstrated ability to meet tight timelines, manage multiple projects and work productively in a team environment are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialization in digital mobile/email graphic production is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Review assignments directly with the Digital Manager-Creative to determine the best method of execution.
  • Design/Build accurate computer files based on the approved style guide or concept layout and maintain the creative integrity of the original concept and brand.
  • Translate and adapt developed concepts into digital collateral (including: web pages, site placements, display banners, email and various marketing campaign collateral)
  • Review file specifications requirements prior to producing files and maintain consistent file preparation suitable for production team.
  • Understand how strategic brand architecture and concept briefs translate into design within Petco web properties.
  • Conceptualize and design quality digital marketing materials leveraging clean typography and strategic visual communication skills.
  • Be a responsive and efficient team member with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects that meet quality/brand standards and deadlines.
  • Take art direction with a positive attitude and process artistic and technical feedback in a detail oriented manner.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail.
  • Be able to rapidly iterate customer-facing campaign designs to fit a variety of specifications.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of files that are created or sent to vendors or partners.
  • Communicate as necessary with eCommerce partners to eliminate and prevent errors and problems
  • Assist in organizing, monitoring, archiving, and maintaining files on the server or in the DAM
  • Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
