About The Position

As a Specialist, Electrician at JLL, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing critical utility systems that keep our client facilities running smoothly. Your expertise will be essential in performing operational activities, monitoring, control, repairs, and inspections of utility equipment including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air compressors, water systems, vacuum systems, HVAC systems, and USP water systems. You'll support the facilities team in maintenance, repair, and control efforts while independently executing defined technical tasks. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, or Electromechanics
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in the medical device, electronics, and/or pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in automation and PLC projects
  • Knowledge of PLC, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Experience in controlled environments (GMP)
  • Experience with computer systems and work order management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safe work practices, especially regarding energized work, work at heights, and confined spaces
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and mitigate or eliminate risk
  • Ability to understand and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment for associated tasks
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance Programs
  • Experience supervising maintenance work quality performed by external contractors and vendors
  • Experience conducting facility inspections and due diligence efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with contractors and facilitate access to mechanical rooms and restricted areas
  • Familiarity with safety ordinances, federal codes, and state laws related to facilities management

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, corrective actions, and troubleshooting on manufacturing control systems (PLC) and computerized systems (SCADA, Vision, etc.) to maintain optimal operating conditions
  • Access various databases to modify and monitor information related to manufacturing control systems and equipment
  • Create necessary connections and drivers to facilitate communication between personal computers and PLCs for troubleshooting and maintenance execution
  • Utilize and operate different measurement and inspection equipment to gather information on system, equipment, and process behavior
  • Perform adjustments and repairs of electronic, mechanical, and electrical failures in equipment and manufacturing control systems with minimal service interruption
  • Request parts and equipment necessary for repair, maintenance, or installation of new/repaired equipment
  • Maintain positive client relationships through prompt and courteous response to client requests
  • Conduct ongoing preventive and repair work orders on mechanical systems and other installed systems, equipment, and components
  • Document completed work (work orders) in the CMMS system following GMP documentation practices
