About The Position

Currently seeking a qualified mechanical designer. Successful candidates will be members of a highly motivated, multi-disciplined, cross-functional design engineering team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Electro-mechanical packaging and design. Modification of existing and/or creation of new designs including electro-mechanical racks, shelters, enclosures, ground & airborne chassis’ and circuit card assemblies (CCA’s) and 3U/6U modules. Ensure new designs progress while meeting technical requirements and EVMS schedules and budgets. Ability to travel 5% of standard work week. Must be able to obtain a US security clearance as a job requirement. Create 3D models and 2D drawings of electro-mechanical designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 4 years of mechanical design experience. In lieu of degree, minimum of 8 years prior related experience

Nice To Haves

  • GDTP certified (technologist level)
  • Proficient knowledge of CAD -- Siemens NX (Designcenter) experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiar with the following open standards: VITA, VME, PMC, ASME Y14.5-2018
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends when required
  • Strong work ethic; maintain a sense of urgency to ensure commitments to both schedule and budgets are met
