About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting internal and external customers with inquiries related to international shipping, customs requirements, shipment tracing, billing, and invoicing. The Specialist will communicate with customs brokers and customers to ensure timely clearance of shipments, resolve documentation errors, assist drivers with border crossing information, and process shipments to ensure on-time service and seamless border crossings. Maintaining accurate shipment history and audit integrity is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

1 year of related work experience
Strong computer and typing skills
Experience with Microsoft Office
Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

2 years of office experience dealing with corporate customers, or inbound/outbound call center experience
Bilingual in English and French
Cross-border and customs brokerage experience
Working knowledge of the transportation industry
Strong problem-solving and investigative skills to bring issues to resolution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pleasant and professional phone etiquette
Able to multitask, prioritize workload and remain highly organized

Responsibilities

Assist internal and external customers with inquiries relative to international shipping, customs requirements, shipment tracing, billing and invoicing questions and requests for information

Recognize and resolve documentation errors
Assist drivers with shipment and trip information relative to crossing the border
Process shipments and trips to ensure on-time service to our customers and seamless border crossings for our drivers
Maintain accurate shipment history and audit integrity
