About The Position

Takasago International Corp. (USA) is seeking a dynamic Corporate EHS Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing a culture of safety and compliance by supporting both corporate and site-level EHS initiatives. You’ll help design, implement, and sustain programs that ensure a safe, compliant workplace aligned with local, state, and federal regulations. This is a salary position with travel between sites. This role currently reports to the EHS Director Americas’ and supports all aspects of Takasago International Corp. Americas cross functionally. Serving as a vital link between headquarters and TAKUS sites, you will help drive consistency and effectiveness across systems and processes, ensuring documentation is thorough, accurate, and always audit-ready. This position also partners closely with site EHS Managers, providing hands-on support with occupational health and safety risk assessments, training programs, inspections, and audits. Whether working independently or as part of a collaborative team, you’ll help evaluate compliance, verify the effectiveness of corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, in EHS field or equivalent experience
  • Must obtain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certifications within one year of hire.
  • 2+ years of EHS experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or related environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years’ experience working with management system (based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or other)
  • Industrial Hygiene
  • Knowledge of EHS standards and regulations
  • Experience in managing lean processes
  • Working knowledge of adaptation and implementation of ISO standards’ requirements
  • Knowledge of process and life-cycle approaches, risk management, sustainable development, social responsibility, and continuous improvement concepts and adaptations

Responsibilities

  • Assist TAKUS sites in the systematic integration and implementation of EHS programs including OHS Risk Assessments and audit compliance using tools such as ETQ and Upkeep to track performance;
  • Interact with government agencies, contractors, management, employees, and other interested parties to ensure an understanding of the organization’s compliance initiatives;
  • Provide support during internal and external audits;
  • Report EHS issues and barriers to Regional EHS Director Americas for resolution;
  • Participate in EHS Committee meetings, EHS Team meetings, and request/leads meetings as required to address findings with relevant stakeholders;
  • Partner with management teams and employees to ensure that safety standards are clearly defined and aid the facilities in complying with these safety standards;
  • Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical inventories, along with Contractor Insurance requirements;
  • Assist in developing process that streamline EHS activities for increased efficiency and productivity;
