Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in automotive production and logistics (e.g, inbound/outbound logistics, supplier management, container management, JIT/JIS)
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics or related fields. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong technical skills in networking, hardware and software systems as well as process design
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills
  • Ability to independently work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • High attendance to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive logistics supplier management preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in developing, designing and implementing planning concepts and projects for the Container Management Function.
  • Support the suppliers in necessary processes such as transportation, infrastructure, packaging, scheduling and equipment to ensure an optimal and reliable supply chain of empties.
  • Schedule empties (pallets, containers, transport frames, etc.) and track delivery backlogs.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain. Actively develop and cross-departmentally align and follow up on countermeasures as part of the bottleneck control including checking the transport container inventory.
  • Identify, process and maintain data for transport container inventory management and control, as well as processing complaints and initiating inventories.
  • Establish ongoing, constructive and cooperative communication with the suppliers.
  • Steer empty containers in the loop between the Scout plant and the supplier plant, to secure the plants with enough containers.
  • Assume special tasks corresponding to the skills and duties of the job holder.
  • Carry out this role responsibly in factual cooperative collaboration with supervisors, employees, and involved and affected departments - in compliance with existing guidelines, standards and regulations.
