About The Position

Job Summary The Specialist, Case Management’s primary responsibilities include case intake, review, and response, in support of Legal, and Safe Sport. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Serve as the primary case manager for USA Swimming National Board of Review complaints, discrimination complaints, and retaliation complaints in support of the Associate General Counsel, the Director, Safe Sport, and USA Swimming’s volunteer Ethics Committee. Assist in Safe Sport cases, in support of the Director, Safe Sport. Answer calls and online reports in a timely fashion and assist with triaging and providing guidance and resources. Ensure compliance with all mandatory reporting requirements. Manage case logs, including preparing reports, reviewing noteworthy trends, tracking information, and maintaining records on all cases. Coordinate with the Director, Safe Sport and Associate General Counsel, to communicate to all relevant parties on progress and status of complaints, inquiries, investigations, hearing procedures, appeals, and final resolutions. Provide consultation to clubs, coaches, and parents on National Board of Review, Safe Sport, and Ethics Committee questions and concerns. Other Duties: Support the operations of the National Board of Review and Ethics Committees. Perform other functions as necessary in the fulfillment of USA Swimming’s continuing efforts to foster safe, healthy, and positive environments free from abuse for its members. Be available to work on special projects and assignments as time allows.

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, gender studies, paralegal studies, related field, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional work experience.
  • Experience as a caseworker.
  • Unwavering commitment to abuse prevention and response.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • This position works in an office setting in the USA Swimming headquarters office in Colorado Springs, CO; must be willing to relocate to Colorado Springs, CO, or the surrounding area.
