About The Position

As a Specialist, Alarm Central, you will play a critical role in monitoring and responding to safety and security alarms, coordinating timely responses with security patrols and emergency services as necessary. This position requires vigilant oversight of multiple systems to identify potential risks and ensure the safety of associates and assets. You will compile detailed reports, support incident management, and uphold company policies with integrity. Your efforts contribute to a secure environment that supports operational excellence and fosters trust across teams and business partners. The Alarm Central team monitors security and life-safety alarm systems to protect associates, customers, and facilities. Working closely with field leaders and internal partners, the team ensures prompt and accurate responses to alarm events. Members investigate activations, coordinate emergency services, and manage escalations in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. They maintain clear communication and thorough documentation, supporting safety and security across multiple locations. By adhering to established protocols and standards, this team plays a vital role in safeguarding people and property while contributing to a secure environment.

Requirements

Proficiency in monitoring and responding to security and fire alarm systems, including NFPA 72 standards.
Experience with life safety, fire protection, sprinkler, and fire suppression systems.
Knowledge of access control and fire and life safety protocols.
Ability to coordinate system testing and conduct risk assessments effectively.
Strong skills in customer support and incident reporting.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and collaborative communication skills.
Capacity to support continuous improvement and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Investigate and respond promptly to alarms by dispatching security patrols or notifying emergency services as required.
Assist associates during safety or security events, ensuring their well-being and support.
Monitor travel safety and security for assigned associates, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Conduct continuous reviews of multiple systems to detect and address security threats.
Coordinate corporate responses by distributing advisories and managing communications during incidents.
Compile detailed daily and incident reports in compliance with company policies.
Provide backup and on-call security support as needed to maintain safety standards.
