Special Security Counselor

About The Position
The Special Security Counselor (SCS) must carry out assigned responsibilities that include effective patrolling of the Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and an ability to effectively assist staff and youngsters in time of need or crisis to ensure the proper functioning of the RTC. He/she must act at all times in the interest of the residents and the safety and security of buildings and grounds.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; some college preferred
- One-year experience in childcare, law enforcement or security work preferred
- Valid New York driver’s license
- A genuine respect for and interest in the well-being of children
- Valid NYS Security Guard License required
