This role involves facilitating the learning activities of exceptional children with various specific learning challenges, including Students with Specific Learning Challenges, Speech/Language Impairments, Intellectually Delayed, Emotional Disturbance, Other Health Impairments, Autism, Hearing Impairments, Orthopedic Impairments, Visual Impairments, and Traumatic Brain Injury. The teacher will work towards achieving grade-level, subject, school, and system objectives by utilizing a wide variety of instructional strategies, devices, and methods, working with small and large instructional groups, and functioning effectively as a staff member of the school community. A significant part of the role includes case management responsibilities for students, ensuring the full implementation of IEPs, progress monitoring, and collaboration with parents and other educators.
