The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time, temporary position. The Events Coordinator, under the direction of the Operations Director and/or Supervisor, will assist with external rental and other miscellaneous events held at the College’s facilities, as required by the Campus Operations Department. This position will be open until filled. The events coordinator must have and practice an equity mindset. The coordinator must be willing to take personal and institutional responsibility to continually assess and discuss policies and standard practices and/or processes, as required of the position. The events coordinator, under direction of the operations director and/or supervisor, will greet and serve as the official liaison for visiting teams, officials, emergency personnel, media, community groups, and/or other organizations using American River College facilities. They will also assist with event set-up requirements when needed, including unlocking and securing facilities. They will be responsible for notifying police or the operations director and/or supervisor if anyone using American River College facilities, upon observation, is not complying with the facility use permit, rules, regulations, terms and conditions of use. The temporary position will perform related duties as required.
