About The Position

Assist the department with a variety of backstage tasks. This document represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Some stagehand experience required.
• May not be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at Texas A&M International University.
• Knowledge of: Word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Knowledge of: Audio & Visual equipment
• Ability to: Multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to: Verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to: Be able to work under time sensitive constraints.
• Position requires face-to-face interactions on campus.
• Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
• Position requires working evening and/or weekends hours.
• Position requires keeping a work schedule of 19 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving, setting up, and testing lighting.
• Assist with sound, props, and performing a variety of backstage tasks.
• Assist performers and wardrobe changes and other miscellaneous tasks.
