This role involves plating, painting, heat treating, inspecting, and operating abrasive equipment to manufacture parts following established methods and procedures while practicing and complying with environmental, health, and safety directions and procedures. The position is for the 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am. Mandatory training will take place on 1st or 2nd shift for up to 4 months until management deems the employee can work independently. This is an Onsite role.

Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US)
  • Experience with painting in an aerospace or automotive setting.
  • Experience with electroplating.
  • US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with heat treating
  • Experience with measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare parts for plating.
  • Operate plating line equipment.
  • Prepare and paint parts.
  • Operate vapor, sand or dry blasting machines to prepare parts for production.
  • Operate ovens, furnaces and induction machines to heat treat parts.
  • Use gages such as micrometers, verniers and hardness testers to make measurements and perform hardness checks.
  • Perform various non-destructive test operations including magnetic particle inspection, fluorescent penetrant inspection, dye check and eddy current inspection.
  • Monitor alarm and video system in the Waste Treatment Plant during absence of operators.
  • Maintain equipment on a periodic basis such as cleaning fixtures, equipment and tanks, and changing filter and light bulbs.
  • Maintain crib, gage cabinet and operation sheets. Update log books.
  • Coordinate priorities with various production lines.
  • Instruct one or two fellow employees in proper performance of duties.
  • Move parts and materials to designated locations.
  • Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean and organized.
  • Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function.
