About The Position

Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks a casual, as needed Special Procedures X-ray Tech to work in Interventional Radiology. Under the direction of the IR Supervisor, the IR Technologist is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all IR activities at Cabell Huntington Hospital. They ensure the quality of services rendered is acceptable, confirm orders, documents, medical necessity, and pre-authorization on all IR orders. The role involves assisting with and performing a variety of radiology diagnostic examinations including fluoroscopy and interventional procedures under image guidance, facilitating inpatient and outpatient consultation, and post-procedural follow-up. The technologist provides radiologic care to patients for diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders and operates IR and CT equipment to perform clinical diagnostic procedures as directed.

Requirements

  • Junior College or Associates Degree required
  • ARRT certification required
  • WVSRT certification required
  • CPR certification required

Nice To Haves

  • IR or CT certification preferred
  • One year of experience preferred
