Under general supervision of the Medical Imaging Manager, OR Lead Radiologic Technologist, the Department’s Medical Director, and the surgeons regimens and procedure protocols, follows established policies and procedures, uses specialized equipment to produce Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) images for surgeons who perform specialized and non-specialized examinations in the OR. Operates high speed PACS imaging equipment to select and capture images for archiving, operates pressure injector for delivering contrast media through catheters that are positioned by the physician. All essential functions performed in the position reflect age specific needs of the geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients. Fosters patient and family centered care and nursing services in accordance with the Brown University Health and Rhode Island Hospital mission, vision, and values, with consideration of the life span, including all developmental stages as well as cultural patterns.
