About The Position

Seeking a Special Procedures Radiologic Tech for Baptist Health Floyd, working in the Cath Lab / EP Lab. This is a Full-Time position (36 Hours/Week) on Days, and a sign-on bonus is eligible. The role involves operating radiographic equipment, performing scrub assisting and monitoring during invasive procedures, and assisting in providing optimal patient care. Responsibilities include recording information, evaluating patient response, ensuring technical accuracy, demonstrating knowledge of sterile technique, cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, transferring procedures to digital archive/PACS, and troubleshooting equipment and radiation safety.

Requirements

Graduate of an AMA approved Radiological Technology Program
Current A.R.R.T. Certificate in General Radiology
Current Indiana Radiation License
BLS for Healthcare Provider required

Nice To Haves

Minimum of two years’ experience in clinical hospital setting preferred
One year vascular or cardiovascular lab experience preferred
Current knowledge of working under aseptic techniques preferred

Responsibilities

Operates all radiographic equipment at a technical level, under the direction of a cardiologist.
Performs scrub assisting and monitoring roles during invasive procedures in the Cath Lab / EP Lab.
Assists in providing optimum care for patients undergoing procedures.
Records information and evaluates patient's response to procedures.
Performs all procedures with technical accuracy and thorough understanding of all procedures performed.
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of sterile technique, the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system.
Transfers procedures to digital archive or PACS for permanent record.
Troubleshoots equipment, and radiation and equipment safety.
