IMC is currently looking to hire a Special Procedures Tech, in our Cath Lab, full time. This position performs scrub and radiographic duties for procedures including cardiac catheterizations, peripheral angiography, clot retrieval, pacer implant/explant and more. Responsibilities include all x-ray equipment, cardiac cath equipment, implementation of patient charges and proper preparation of the patient and lab prior to the procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of Radiologic program, which is accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiology Technology Education (JRCRTE).
- Valid Louisiana State License

- Previous experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform prescribed specialized radiographic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation as directed by provider, organizational policies, procedures and protocols
- Operates all radiographic equipment in Cath Lab at a technical level under the direction of a cardiologist.
- Set up procedural tray and scrub for all Cath Lab cases and performs scrub assist role during invasive procedures
- Assist with preparation and transport of patient to and from Cath Lab
